Elghali F1 is a beautiful round oval-shaped watermelon with excellent foliar cover, protecting it from the sun and bad weather. It has excellent compatibility for grafting. It exhibits the production of 2 to 4 fruits per plant. Furthermore, it has a large fruit size, crisp, very sweet, tasty, and is highly preferred by farmers. Elghali is a quality variety that could last up to two weeks after harvest. This would help reduce post-harvest losses, which has been a major challenge to watermelon farmers.

Requirements

Generally, watermelon can be planted all year round as long as there is adequate water supply through irrigation. Watermelons are 95 per cent water. They require plentiful regular, even watering for quick growing. Give watermelons 1 to 2 inches (2.5. -5cm) of water every week. Also, Sandy or loamy soil is the ideal soil for planting with adequate exposure to sunlight. Aluminium foil can be placed under the plants to help them ripen faster by attracting more sunlight. Seeds can be planted in heaps of compost if the soil is not fertile. This premium variety will allow farmers to make more money per acre of land. Elghali F1 is a quality variety that could last up to two weeks after harvest.

Harvesting

Harvest watermelons when the underside or belly of the fruit turns from a greenish white to buttery yellow or cream. This colour change is especially pronounced in the dark green-skinned varieties. In addition, the fruit tends to lose its slick appearance on top and becomes dull when ripe.

Marketing and storage

Store Elghali F1 watermelon between 50-59°F. However, 55°F is the ideal temperature. From research, shelf life is on average 7-10 days. Ensure efficient distribution of your products among consumers, to maximize returns.

Please get to the agreed local park or pickup venue early enough before the arrival of your order, which is packaged and sealed with your invoice.

Economy Shipping

Economy Shipping is a convenient and affordable delivery option we operate and manage in partnership with GIG logistics services which allows our customers to pick up their order conveniently at any GIG Office across Nigeria.

Convenient Shipping

Our convenient shipping is provided in partnership with DHL Express, such that, customers get doorstep delivery of their packages.

As personalized delivery can enhance customer experience and increase brand loyalty when used as an integrated part of the customer’s purchasing journey, we have included this option to service customers who wish to have their ordered packages personally delivered anywhere in the world.

This option especially appeals to customers who wish to bypass the rigors of local pickups at car-parks or the use of pickup stations. Refund Policy

A refund should be sought only if your issue is not resolved within a reasonable time frame.
