Marshall Broilers
The Marshall Chicks are products of the pure-line parent stock broilers. They have been developed to serve the increasing demand for quality white meat. Thus this breed has been steadily improved through established breed selection processes involving traditional and scientific technology.

Additional tips for raising broilers
- Preheat the sheds three days before placement, so that when the chicks arrive the concrete and bedding will be warm enough (as the chick’s body will be in contact with the floor, thus failure to have adequate floor temperatures will mean the chicks are likely to huddle especially if the heat source is not enough).
- Bedding: Wood shavings are ideal. Therefore ensure there are no pieces of foreign materials (glass or metal) and ensure bedding material is dry.
- Always monitor your birds closely to ensure a good spread of chicks and flock activity.
- Strictly adhere to the vaccination and medication schedule sent to your email after purchase.
- Involve the services of qualified veterinary personnel as well, for the routine farm visits, vaccinations, prophylactic treatment etc.

So the last batch I got had 5 dead chicks in it. I was told to include that in the order note for my next order, which i did. The next order came on Thursday, (16/01/20), and all chicks were dead, except 2 or 5. I did not accept the package.
No communication whatsoever from both Farm affairs and Afrimash till the following Monday when the driver called that some birds had been sent (on a Monday? I thought Obj Marshalls are only hatched on Thursdays?) Mind you, no communication still from any party, even the driver did not call me till he had gotten to the park.
Lo and behold, I was sent a package that was short by 11 birds.
Farm affairs refused to pick his calls nor respond to my messages.
Afrimash is telling me to place another order to get replacement (same thing I was told last time when my order had 5 dead chicks and 20% mortality rate afterwards).
