Divergen-D
Divergen-D is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by micro-organisms susceptible to Gentamycin and/or Doxycycline especially for gastrointestinal infections in calves and poultry and infections of the respiratory tract in poultry, calves and pigs.
Composition of Divergen-D
- Each gram contains 120mg Gentamycin Sulphate and 200mg Tylosin tartrate
Indication
- Effective especially for the treatment of gastrointestinal infections and infections of the respiratory tract in Poultry, Calves and Pigs
Divergen-D: Contra-indications
- Hypersensitivity to aminoglycosides and/or Tetracyclines
- Animals with renal dysfunctions, vestibular and/or ear dysfunctions, impaired eye function or an impaired liver function
- Do not combine with potential nephrotoxic or muscle paralyzing medicines
Side effect
- Kidney damage and/or ototoxicity, hypersensitivity reactions like gastrointestinal disturbances or changes of intestinal flora
Dosage
- Poultry: 100g per 400 litres of drinking water for 3-5 days
- Calves: 100g per 60 calves of 50kg body weight during 4-6 days
- Pigs: 100g per 250 litres of drinking water during 4-6 days
Administration
- Orally through drinking water. Medicated water should be used within 24 hours
Divergen-D: Withdrawal periods
- Cattle: 90 days
- Pigs: 40 days
- Eggs: 14 days
Notice to farmers
- Livestock farmers handling drugs must be cautious about the drugs and commit to their judicious management, use, and administration.
- In addition to this, farmers should promote routine health programs that prevent disease.
- The farm management systems, biosecurity, vaccination programs, nutrition, and hygiene should be strengthened.
- The withdrawal periods of each drug should be strictly followed.
