The constant challenges plaguing the livestock industry in Nigeria has been a constant source of concern for the government, farmers, businesses, consumers and other stakeholders in the agricultural sector. Thus, adaptive models to the Nigerian clime has been proposed and explored by different quarters.

Livestock247 and her partners decided to embark on an intensive cattle fattening program to complement the Federal Government’s National livestock Transformation Project (NLTP). This Feedlot Program is expected to provide the growing Nigerian population with access to affordable, traceable and fit-for-slaughter livestock. Such a program is expected to involve veterinarians, producers, e-commerce platforms, financial institutions, logistics companies, government officials, buyers, ranchers, livestock merchants, etc in a field as well as online cycle.
