This invitation is for ICT developers who have interest in or solutions to fish farming. The invitation is open to people in Ibadan or Warri, Nigeria; Lome, Togo; and Cotonou, Benin Republic.
The mission of the Fish AgriHack is to use Information Technology and Innovation to solve resilient challenges in fish farming value chains of Nigeria, Benin Republic and Togo.
Challenges to Solve in Fish Farming
Whether you have personally identified challenges affecting fish farming or not, Wennovation Hub (in collaboration with others) is inviting you to apply for a hackathon geared towards using ICT to solve some of the challenges in Fish Farming.
Some of the major problems that have been identified include:
- Lack of fish farming information and training
- Knowledge gap in water quality control technologies
- Difficulty in keeping accurate records, pricing profitably and marketing to end users.
- Lack of synergy among fish farmers
